Frequently Asked Questions

Find the answers about Skeena Business Network, membership, and how we support local businesses.
Is SBN a government agency or a Chamber of Commerce?

No. SBN is an independent non-profit society. While we work alongside local leaders like Councillor Inderpal Dhillon, we are funded by our members to provide direct digital services that traditional government bodies do not offer.

Do you submit grant applications or business licenses for me?

No. SBN provides guidance and preparation support only. We provide the tools and information, but the business owner remains responsible for their own legal submissions and guarantees.

I have a home-based business. Can I join?

Absolutely. In fact, you are our priority. SBN was built to give home-based businesses the same professional digital presence as major downtown retailers.

Why is the website free?

As a non-profit, our goal is regional economic growth. We believe a professional website is a “right,” not a luxury. Your $199 membership fee covers the collective costs of maintaining the network’s infrastructure.
